(3/8/09) We are your hosts, John and Dani Rowland. We have been married for more than twenty-four years. We have have 4 children ages 22, 20 and 12, and 2, as well as a 4 year old grandson. Dani and I met and married while serving in the U.S. Army in Germany in 1984. I am retired from the National Guard after 26 years of service including 9 years of active duty with tours after 9/11 and a tour in Iraq. I worked previously for the federal government in the Washington DC area. Danielle, in addition to being a fantastic wife and Mom, manages the Kottage rentals, runs her own commercial cleaning business and homeschools our 12 year old son. I currently work in the family business with Dani and our daughter, Meghan! The Good Lord has blessed us richly and we give Him thanks and praise!
We began vacationing in Chincoteague in the early 90's and have fallen in love with the quaint, quiet, charm of this little fishing village. We purchased our Kottages in March of 2006 and spent the next four months renovating them. We're living here on-site in the third house on the property, a 3 bedroom Kottage, which we are in the process of renovating and hope to have available sometime during the 2010 vacation season.
